Undeclared cigarettes found under a load of furniture
On 19 October inspectors at the exit gate of the Talas Customs Clearance Terminal checked a lorry leaving the Talas Free Economic Trade Zone for the Zone's market with a declared load of furniture. Behind the furniture they found 1,150 cartons of cigarettes not shown in the papers.
Cigarettes in the Trade Zone are free of duty only while they remain in it. The driver, citizen K.B., born 1987, resident of Talas, has given explanations. The cigarettes have been seized and the materials passed to the competent bodies.
