New Director introduced to the staff of the Service

On 14 March the heads of departments and customs posts were introduced to Uson Yakupov, appointed Director of the Customs Service by the Governor.

U. Yakupov has served in customs since 1985, when he began work at the rail customs post at Kobozev. In 1995 he completed a course of training with advisers of the United States Customs Service.

Among the tasks for the year the Director named the full use of the X-ray scanners and electronic declarations introduced at the Terminal in 2015, shorter clearance of bonded freight, and firm work against the smuggling of fuel and cigarettes.
