Cotton season: additional inspectors at Kyzyl-Tuu and Dostuk

For the cotton harvest, from 17 September to 30 November inspectors of the central office are sent to reinforce the customs posts at Kyzyl-Tuu and Dostuk.

Raw cotton is cleared at Kyzyl-Tuu and Dostuk only. The local crossings at Kyzyl-Jar and Izbaskan take passengers and farm traffic but no freight. Raw cotton is in the 5% band of the Customs Code.

Farmers and buyers are asked to have the invoice and the papers of origin ready before reaching the post, so that lorries are not held in the queue.
