On delays at the Kazakh posts

The Customs Service informs carriers that since the beginning of January the Kazakh posts opposite Chu Gate and Talas North Terminal have been processing lorries more slowly. The Iradi posts are working as normal.

Carriers with perishable loads are advised to wait in the bonded yards of the Terminal rather than at the frontier; goods may be held there without payment of duty.

The Service is in contact with the Kazakh Border and Customs Representation in Nurzhan. The length of the queue is given by the duty officer.
