Every mineral load to be weighed and sampled

From 1 February every load of ore, concentrate or other mineral leaving the Zone by the northern crossings or the Terminal is weighed and sampled, whatever is written in the declaration. Until now samples were taken selectively.

The measure follows the increase since the end of 2024 in attempts to take out hand-picked ore without papers. A load declared as one mineral and found to be another is seized.

The procedure is set by the instruction published in the documents section. The result of the sample is given within three working days; the load waits in a bonded yard.
