Deputy director meets carriers on queues at the northern crossings

On 23 May deputy director A. Sultanbekov met representatives of freight carriers and customs brokers at the Terminal to discuss the queues at Chu Gate and Talas North Terminal.

Most delays at the posts arise from incomplete papers and transit documents naming the wrong crossing. Carriers were asked to lodge the electronic declaration before the lorry reaches the frontier.

For the summer peak a second inspection lane will be opened at Chu Gate from 1 June.
