Horses without veterinary papers stopped at Suzak

On 16 May at the Suzak post inspectors stopped a livestock lorry carrying nine horses towards Jalal-Abad without veterinary certificates. The driver, citizen T.A., born 1981, resident of Tash-Kömür, stated that he was transporting the horses for a buyer.

The horses have been placed in the pen at the post and handed over to the veterinary service for examination. The driver has been fined under the Customs Code.

The Service reminds owners that horses and livestock cross the frontier only with a veterinary certificate and on payment of the fees at the crossing. See Travellers.
